CMII Promo

Promotional Video for the CMII Made in Adobe After Effects
Project Goal: Create a promotional video for GSU's Creative Media Industries Institute (CMII) in Adobe After Effects using motion graphics elements.

This video is something I made as a final project for a class & a promotional piece for a campus facility. When I first created this project, I was going for a more minimalistic design. There's still a pretty strong element of minimalism throughout the final product, but my original plan had a solid color as the background for the entire video. Some of the feedback I received from my professor (who was, for the intents of the class, the end client) was that I needed to put cloud imagery in the background of the video. I had to add in the fade in/out to keep the integrity of the loop. After the addition of the clouds, my professor was very pleased with the outcome!
In this project, I made use of motion graphics elements including camera movement, kinetic typography, shape and stroke to create a cohesive final product. My video was selected as a finalist in a class-wide competition for use by the CMII and played on the screens inside the building including on the 34-foot curved NanoLumens LED display in the lobby that is visible from Woodruff Park.
